還記得那時候要過三十歲生日的時候
朋友問我說想怎麼過
我想了一下 覺得可以走狂野路線 或是走高雅路線
狂野路線: 在Motel開Party吵鬧一整晚
高雅路線: 姊妹們打扮美美一起辦一個品酒會
後來狂野路線雀屏中選 我的老朋友們都大駕光臨 玩得很開心

沒想到 一個多月我收到人生第一次的品酒會邀請
正好實現了 我另一個30歳的願望
Whisky Sensory Tour

My friend Ethan invited me to the whisky tasting event hosted by his company. Thank you so much Ethan. :) This is the very first formal alcohol tasting I ever joined. We tasted 5 different bottles and each one is with its own special flavors and stories. I never know just one type of alcohol such as Whisky can have a big range of flavors!

每個人的座位前面都擺了五個高腳杯
杯子裡面斟了有著不同金黃色澤的威士忌
底下的白紙印著每瓶酒的品名跟年份
台上品酒達人一步一步地教導我們怎麼品味
第一步 聞香 Step 1 Smelling
揭開杯蓋 聞一聞味道
達人們似乎聞出了很多味道
但是我只有感覺到一股很嗆的酒精往上衝
因為酒在杯子裡被蓋住好一陣子 酒精一整個悶在杯子裡
不過過一會再聞 就會覺得味道緩和平順多了
也比較可以感覺每支酒不同的香氣

第二步 觀察 Step 2 Observing
看看威士忌的色澤之後
拿起你的杯子 輕輕著把杯子稍稍轉成水平 再回到直立
可以觀察威士忌沿著玻璃杯滑下來的痕跡
我們叫他淚角 從觀察淚角 可以知道每支威士忌的濃稠度

第三步 品嘗 Step 3 Tasting
小小喝一口
感覺一下威士忌在舌頭上跟喉嚨的味道
達人們的舌頭好像很精
他們說有花香 草香 跟海風 還有消毒藥水風

The smell, the way how Whisky glides in the glasses and the taste all differ and that's the basic steps how to appreciate the Whisky. There were 3 experts there leading us from 1 glass to another and telling the story behind each one.

2 botteles I preferred are Glenmorangie Lasanta Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky and Bowmore 12 Years Old Islay Single Melt Scotch Whisky. The 1st one is with a slign tastes of sweetness in the end and the 2nd one is with a strong flavor with the coal. But in fact, these Whisky are way too strong for me! I only tasted a few cc from each glass and I felt dizzy afterwards.

我比較喜歡的兩瓶
一瓶是格蘭傑的Lasanta 我覺得他有一點甜味
達人說有梅香 很適合配中國菜
另一瓶是愛雷島產的Whsiky
有很重的泥炭的味道
我平常很喜歡放鞭炮跟燒金紙的香味 哈 很怪 我知道
就覺得這瓶實在太神奇了
可以把放鞭炮的香味放在酒裡!!

不過老實說 這些酒對我而言都太烈了
我只不過每杯喝個幾cc 頭就有點昏昏了
我想 我可能比較適合辦品奶茶會吧
我是奶茶狂人 哈哈

我和工作上認識的姊妹們
